I would like to say now that you have it put together do some minor color correcting on the wings and boost the overall saturation on the pic lastly...just curious how It would stand out.

it's great but you should make the child stand a little less out... her legs, for example, don't seem to fit.

Thanks for all your comments! :) Have any tips on how to make the lighting better? Most of everything I know how to do is learned by trial and error so I still have a lot to learn... Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

Well if you opened it up the it would be much easier to figure out what you should do. But what I can tell from just looking at it is that you could make a new layer set it's blend mode to overlay fill with a gradient of a sky color and erase around the edges of the girl. If it looks a little to saturated you could do two things. (1) turn down the opacity, (2) set it to screen. Good luck!
