so i have a theory about art. the artist is split into 2 minds, much like the right and left sides of the brain theory. well, ive noticed a lot of artists draw with a mix of skill, and emotion. we draw between the combination of what we feel, and/or insightful thoughts we have about the world. the other half dictates, and im sorry if this doesnt sound scientific anymore, what looks 'cool'. so, in extremes, the emotional side would draw a crudely made broken heart. very provacative imagery if you think about it, but no major skills needed. the skill side would draw a giant graffiti tag, that catches the eye. very slick looking, definitely impressive, but no emotion. it will garner respect, but will never rival a heart driven piece. however, the emotional piece may never catch a viewers attention. well, while i will try to blend the two, im going to focus on the emotional half. its always been the side i struggle with, so im gonna use this site as a bit of an art project. please bear with me as the first few will undoubtably be kindof heartfelt, but most likely not as effective as i'd like
