I just poked at it and tried it on grey background instead of white. (Ironically,) Balances the image a bit better, but is less striking. Just thought I'd mention it. :)

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the star. This was one of those 5 minute deals and makes me want to do a bunch more in the minimalist vein. Hope you enjoyed poking at it.

Interesting about the gray background. My optic nerve is jangled by the interior drop shadows. Plus there's none for the red dot. All very analytical -- but it's an eye-popping image, and maybe more so because of these things. You've been bringing off other interesting effects, too.

Just tried the gray background and I don't know...I think I actually like it better. I may even be more striking.

It's interesting and appreciated to hear your thoughts and analyzation. I tried the gray background as Ipsquiggle suggested and liked it better. It helped my eye lock in on it better. As a color-deficient person though, I'm always interested to see what others would do as opposed to me. At times, I'm envious of those that have their color faculties in tact. Also, I'm a mere enthusiast as opposed to trained artist, so, I'm glad you took the time to look at it and always appreciate feedback and artistic thoughts. For some reason, I'm currently loving the power of the drop shadow.
